It is within sight!
It is amazing all the things that must be done or fall into place in just the right way before a big event takes place. Like a wedding . . . or my trip to France. It seems there are millions of tiny thoughts and plans, decisions and duties not to mention the dollars already spent, and euros yet to be traded for an irresistible market find. And I realize I am leaving behind what I know, the areas of my life where any degree of expertise may lie, what I am comfortable with, my security. In France, I will be a stranger in a strange but - I say expectantly - beautiful land. I hope and pray all will go well and that I will not fall asleep on the train to Avignon and miss getting off, for example, or that I lose my camera. I am remembering an old saying: inch by inch, life's a cinch. J'espere cette vacances will be a cinch (just guessing at the French there), and that when I am back home in two weeks, I will have beaucoup happy memories.
